What are water decals?

Water decals are thin, self-adhesive stickers that you apply to your nails with water. They're a popular form of nail art because they offer detailed and colorful results without requiring a lengthy nail art treatment. This means clients leave feeling just as satisfied in less time. Water decals are available in a variety of styles, from minimalist patterns to elaborate artwork, and are perfect for adding a unique touch to your manicure.

Applying water decals

Applying water decals is easy and suitable for both beginners and experienced nail technicians. Follow these steps for perfect results:

1. Preparation: Start with clean, dry nails. Apply a base coat of nail polish and let it dry thoroughly.
2. Prepare the decal: Cut out the desired design and place it paper-side down on a wet cellulose swab.
3. Application: After a few moments, use a clear ink pad to pick up the design. Once it's fully softened from the paper, it will stick to your stamp. Now place the design on your nail. Because you're using a clear ink pad , you can position the design precisely. Use a silicone tool to smooth the design out.
4. Fix: Gently pat the nail dry with a tissue and apply a layer of topcoat to protect the decal and keep it looking beautiful for longer.

How long do water decals last?

With the right preparation and finishing, water decals can last up to a week. This depends on several factors, such as the quality of the decal, the topcoat used, and your daily activities. For longer durability, we recommend applying an additional layer of topcoat after a few days and avoiding contact with harsh cleaning agents.
